Marianne Leeson
Marianne Leeson (born October 19, 1987 in Burlington , Ontario ) is a Canadian snowboarder . She started for Canada in the 2014 Winter Olympics .
Career
She was nominated by the Canadian Olympic Committee for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . In the parallel giant slalom , she finished fifth, making her the best Canadian. With the 27th place in the parallel slalom , she was the worst Canadian behind Ariane Lavigne and Caroline Calvé . From January 15 to 25, 2015, she took part in the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg in Austria . When she started in the parallel giant slalom, she finished eighth. The Canadian finished the parallel slalom in 30th place.
