Caroline Calvé (born October 1, 1978 in Hull ) is a Canadian snowboarder .

Career

Calvé has been taking part in the Snowboard World Cup and the Nor Am Cup since 2003 . In 2006, 2012 and 2014 she won the parallel overall ranking. She drove her first World Cup race in December 2003 in Whistler , which she finished in 32nd place in the parallel giant slalom. In October 2006 she achieved her first top ten placement in the World Cup with seventh place in the parallel slalom in Landgraaf . At the Snowboard World Championships 2007 in Arosa , she came 29th in the parallel giant slalom and tenth in the parallel slalom. At the Snowboard World Championships 2009 in Gangwon , she finished 25th in the parallel slalom and 11th in the parallel giant slalom. At the last race of the 2008/09 season in Valmalenco she achieved her first podium finish in the World Cup with second place in the parallel giant slalom. At her first Olympic participation in Vancouver in 2010 , she achieved 20th place in the parallel giant slalom. She finished 21st in the parallel giant slalom and 18th in the parallel slalom at the 2011 Snowboard World Championships in La Molina . In December 2011 she won her first World Cup victory in the parallel giant slalom in Carezza . At the beginning of the 2012/13 season she achieved second place in the parallel giant slalom in Carezza. Further top ten placements followed. At the Snowboard World Championships 2013 in Stoneham , she achieved 34th place in the parallel giant slalom and 19th place in the parallel slalom. In February 2013, she won the parallel slalom in Moscow . Two weeks later she achieved another podium finish in Arosa with third place in the parallel giant slalom. She finished the season in third place in the World Cup parallel ranking. In December 2013 she won her third World Cup victory in the parallel slalom in Carezza. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she took 26th place in parallel slalom and sixth place in parallel giant slalom. In the 2014/15 season she finished in the top ten five times in the World Cup, including second place in the parallel giant slalom in Carezza and thus reached tenth place in the parallel world cup and sixth place in the parallel giant slalom world cup. At the Snowboard World Championships 2015 on Kreischberg , she achieved 32nd place in the parallel slalom and tenth place in the parallel giant slalom.
