Marjorie Boulton

Marjorie Boulton (born May 7, 1924 in Teddington , London , † August 30, 2017 ) was a British literary scholar and writer .

Life

Boulton studied at Somerville College , Oxford University , and was the director of a college for aspiring teachers for a long time. After that she made a living from her journalistic activities. She wrote literary works in English, while writing poetry and prose in Esperanto . Boulton's first volume of poetry was published in Esperanto in 1955. In addition, Boulton wrote a biography of the inventor of Esperanto, Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof . Most recently she was chairman of the two Esperanto organizations Kat-amikaro and ODES.
