Mark Bender (born August 26, 1959 in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz ) is a German songwriter and country singer .

Since 1994 the "gentle giant" has been a professional singer, lyricist and composer, songwriter and producer.

He had major appearances on several German broadcasters such as Premiere , ZDF and MDR and at country festivals. He won the "Best Country Singer of the Year" award several times and was the first non-American to win the American Horizon Award as well as other musical prizes for his work as an interpreter and lyricist. He received several gold records and was able to place himself in the official German album charts with many albums where he is involved as a lyricist, among others with Oonagh, Voxxclub, Roland Kaiser, Nicole, Nicki, Claudia Jung, Amigos, Andrea Jürgens, Olaf der Flipper and much more. Between 1994 and 2018 he wrote a total of around 3,500 titles of which almost 3,000 are also published on CD.

Together with the music producer Pete Winter, apart from his career as a country singer, he founded the music project RIESENHERZ in 2017. The two songwriters produced the album "Licht hinterm Meer" under this name, which is musically in the area of ​​German-language New Age pop music. All of the songs on the album were written by Mark Bender and Pete Winter.
