Markus "Max" Scharrer (born July 3, 1974 in Mödling ) is a former Austrian soccer player and current soccer coach .

Career

Scharrer's first professional station was at FC Admira / Wacker in 1992 . In 1996 he moved to LASK Linz . His next stop was again in Upper Austria at SV Ried . With the Innviertel team he sensationally won the ÖFB Cup in the 1997/98 final against Sturm Graz , before moving to FC Tirol Innsbruck after this successful season and winning three consecutive Austrian championships with the Tiroleans. After the successful Innsbruck team went bankrupt, he moved to the second division, the First League , and played half a season at SV Wörgl . In January 2003 Markus Scharrer moved to SV Austria Salzburg . Markus Scharrer was only one of the few players to be retained after the takeover by Red Bull , but then moved to the first league in September 2006 for his home club FC Trenkwalder Admira Wacker Mödling .

After three years and a missed promotion and cup win, Scharrer moved to the top Austrian division for Kapfenberger SV in summer 2009 , which he turned his back on in summer 2010 when he moved to the Regionalliga West for SV Seekirchen .
