Matthias Pussjäger
Matthias Pussjäger (also Matthias Bußjäger ; born February 3, 1654 in Rottenbuch ; † December 22, 1734 in Meran ) was a painter who mainly created many altarpieces in what was then Tyrol .
Life
His training took place, among others, with Johann Carl Loth in Venice. After settling in Merano, he was very productive, ground an incredible amount , and became a councilor and later mayor of the city.
A son of Pussjäger, Norbert Bußjäger, became abbot of Wilten Abbey in 1747 .
