Max Binder (born November 26, 1947 as Maximilian Binder in Illnau-Effretikon ; entitled to live there ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ). In 2003/04 he was President of the National Council .

Max Binder was municipal councilor for the Illnau-Effretikon municipality from 1985 to 1990 and city councilor and vice-president there from 1991 to 2018. From 1991 to 1992 he was a member of the Cantonal Council of the Canton of Zurich . On November 25, 1991, Binder was elected to the National Council, where he remained until his resignation in 2015. For the parliamentary year 2003/2004 he was President of the National Council . Binder was a member of the National Council's business audit commission and president of the commission for transport and telecommunications. He was president of the NEAT supervisory delegation.

Binder lives in Illnau, is a full-time farmer and has three children.
