This discography is an overview of the musical works of the American metal band Metallica . According to sources, they have sold more than 125 million records in their career, making them one of the most successful bands of all time . In their home country alone, they sold over 73.2 million records according to the record awards. In Germany, the group has been able to sell more than 10.2 million phonograms to date, making it one of the performers with the highest number of phonograms sold in Germany . The successful release of Metallica is the fifth studio album Metallica with about 28 million units sold. The album sold over two million times in Germany alone, making it one of the best-selling albums since 1975 . Together with Load (1.25 million), ReLoad (1.25 million) and … And Justice for All (1 million), Metallica has a total of four million sellers in Germany.
