Metropolticket Stuttgart
The Metropolticket Stuttgart (officially Metropol-Tages-Ticket of the Metropolregion Stuttgart , also MetropolTagesTicket Stuttgart ) is in all trains of the product class C (IRE, RE, RB and S-Bahn) and in the other means of transport of the transport associations in the region Stuttgart and partly above valid beyond. It is valid from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. the following day, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from midnight to 3 a.m. the following day. It has been offered since January 2012.
The metropolitan ticket can be purchased for one to five people and often allows one parent or grandparent couple or part to take any number of their own children or grandchildren under the age of 15 with them. Additional children up to the age of five are transported free of charge.

Further instructions
For journeys with an adjacent regional ticket in its area of validity or in the area of validity of the MetropolTagesTicket Stuttgart, there is no need to buy tickets up to the first or from the last scheduled stop in the area of validity. If the first journey is to be started between midnight and 3:00 a.m. on the following day, the MetropolTagesTicket Stuttgart must be purchased before the start of the following day.
If the specified day of validity is a public holiday in the federal state of the departure station or in the first federal state traveled through, the Metropol-Tages-Ticket is valid in the entire area of validity from midnight.
A MetropolTagesTicket Stuttgart is only valid if the day of validity and the surname and first name of all persons traveling are entered in the fields provided on the ticket. The travelers have to enter this information in block letters indelibly in block letters before starting their journey - those who join en route immediately after their boarding - unless this has already been done by the sales system. Family children and children up to and including five years of age do not need to be entered.
Tickets for 1st class are also available. There are also surcharge cards available, which can be purchased per person and allow the use of 1st class for the metropolitan ticket.
The MetropolTagesTicket Stuttgart is also valid on the Pflaumloch - Nördlingen connection leading to the Free State of Bavaria .

If the tickets are purchased in person-operated sales, a surcharge of € 2 must be paid. When selling product class C in one train, a higher surcharge (staggered from € 2.10 to € 8.50) has to be paid. If there was neither a ticket counter open at the start of the journey nor a ready-to-use machine suitable for accepting cash, the ticket will be issued on the train at the same price as when purchased from a ticket machine.
