Michael Weber (born March 15, 1959 in Radeberg ) is a German politician ( B'90 / Greens ) and former member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

Michael Weber attended primary school in Ohorn and then the EOS in Bischofswerda , where he graduated from high school in 1977. He then studied chemistry and completed his diploma in 1985. From 1985 to February 1990 Weber worked as an assistant at the TH Merseburg .

politics

Michael Weber was during the turn in February 1990 by the Roundtable elected incumbent City Council of the City of Leipzig and was responsible for energy. In July 1990 he was appointed deputy government representative in the Leipzig district by the GDR government Lothar de Maiziere . He headed the departments of health, telecommunications and post, transport and universities and was the representative for culture and science at the Leipzig district administration in preparation for the formation of the Free State of Saxony.

In October 1990 Weber moved into the Saxon state parliament via the state list. There he was a member of the Committee for Economics and Labor, the Committee for Science and Universities, as well as the committee of inquiry into the workability of the Saxon state parliament. He was a member of the Saxon University Council. From autumn 1991 to autumn 1993 Weber was chairman of the Alliance 90 / Greens parliamentary group in the state parliament. He resigned his state parliament mandate early on February 28, 1994.

After the election to the Saxon state parliament in November 1990, Weber headed the mayor's office of the city of Leipzig under Lord Mayor Hinrich Lehmann-Grube parallel to his state parliament mandate .

In September 1993 Weber was elected managing director of the municipal investment management company bbvl mbH in Leipzig. After being re-elected in 1998, he resigned his office in September 1999 and in July 1999, together with several partners, founded the consulting company Bridges in Berlin, which specializes in consulting primarily in the health sector.
