My World 2.0 is the debut album by Canadian singer Justin Bieber . It was published on March 19, 2010 in Germany and on March 23, 2010 in the USA. The album reached number seven in the German album charts and number one on the Billboard 200 . There is also a deluxe edition of the album, which contained some music videos.

My World 2.0 is Bieber's debut album and was dubbed the “second part of his debut” by himself. The reason he cited was that “people don't want to wait over a year and a half for new music. Therefore it would have been decided to split it into two parts ”. His first release and thus the first part was the EP My World , which was released in November 2009.

My Worlds received mixed reviews:
“Unlike usual in the industry, Justin Bieber co-wrote many of the songs himself, which puts the whole album in a different light. In addition to the well-known single releases, there is another song that pop music fans may well know. Track 7 Love Me contains elements from Lovefool . The 1996 hit by The Cardigans provides the refrain for Justin Bieber's song. On My Worlds , happy and danceable songs alternate with calm ballads. Nevertheless, the album remains fairly manageable and mainly revolves around the worries and incidents of a teen "
The online magazine Laut.de named the album the worst album of 2010. The album received only one of five possible points in its review. In the review of the album, laut.de u. a .:
“And what about Justin's musical world? As you would expect for a tender age, it is quite manageable. In addition to the first dance in the school ( First Dance ), the smile of his adored ( U Smile ) and his very dearest girl ( Favorite Girl ), everything now revolves around the worries and incidents of a teen in the school yard and around. "
Commercial win
The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 283,000 CDs sold . Bieber, then 16 years old, was the youngest male solo artist since Stevie Wonder in 1963 with the live album " Recorded Live: The 12 Year Old Genius ", which reached number one in the US charts. Wonder was 13 years old at the time. Furthermore, Bieber was also the first musician since rapper Nelly 2004, who at the same time had two albums in the top five of the USA (with " My World "). Although the sales figures had increased in the second week with 291,000 records sold, the CD fell back to position two. It was overtaken by Raymond v. Raymond the singer Usher . Through this process, Bieber became the first artist since the Beatles , who debuted at number one and achieved higher sales in the second week. In its third week, the album was again ranked number one, having sold 102,000 times. It defended this place in the fourth week with around 92,000 units sold. In Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom, My World sales are added together.
