Nando Barbieri

Ferdinando "Nando" Barbieri (born August 29, 1907 in Genoa ; † October 8, 1997 ibid) was an Italian racing driver .

Career

Nado Barbieri was primarily active as a sports car driver in the 1930s . In 1933 he won the Coppa Principessa di Piemonte together with Gianfranco Comotti in an Alfa Romeo 8C 2600 registered by Scuderia Ferrari . In 1934 he won the Parma – Poggio di Berceto hill climb in an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza . The Targa Abruzzi in 1934 ended Barbieri together with Mario Tadini in second and in the Mille Miglia in 1937 , he was together with Edoardo Teagno eighth overall; his best placing in this Italian road race.

After the Second World War , Barbieri was active for a few years and in 1947 won a sports car race in Novara .

Barbieri was also active in Grand Prix racing; the Gran Premio di Tripoli 1933 he finished 13th in the final ranking.
