Nanjing Museum
The Nanjing Museum ( Chinese 南京 博物院 , Pinyin Nanjing bowuyuan , English Nanjing Museum ) in Nanjing , the capital of the Chinese province of Jiangsu , is one of the most important museums in the People's Republic of China. It was founded in 1933 during the Guomindang regime as the National Central Museum ( 中央 , Zhongyang bowuyuan ).
It contains antique bronzes, pottery and jade ware , ink painting , Ming and Qing porcelain and silk art.
One of his most famous exhibits is the brick work “ Seven Wise Men in the Bamboo Grove and Rong Qiqi ” ( 竹 林七贤 砖 印模 画 , Zhulin qixian zhuan yinmo hua ) from the time of the Southern Dynasties , discovered in 1960 .
