Nicola Roxon

Nicola Roxon (born April 1, 1967 in Sydney ) is an Australian politician with the Australian Labor Party .

Life

After finishing school, Roxon studied law at the University of Melbourne and then practiced as a lawyer. Since 1998, Roxon has been a member of the Australian House of Representatives for the Gellibrand constituency, Melbourne . Roxon was Minister of Health in Australia from 2007 until her resignation in 2011 ; Tanya Plibersek succeeded her in this position.

Roxon is an atheist .
