Nikola Tschongarow ( Bulgarian Никола Чонгаров ; born September 20, 1989 in Varna ) is a Bulgarian ski racer . He drives in all disciplines and has competed in the World Cup and World Championships since 2009 .

Career

Tschongarow took part in the FIS races for the first time in January 2005 and was used for the first time in the European Cup two years later . While he achieved numerous victories and podium places in FIS races from February 2007, he was only able to score once in the European Cup, when he finished 24th in the slalom in Kirchberg in Tyrol on January 16, 2011 . From 2006 to 2009 Tschongarow took part in three Junior World Championships , with his best result being eighth in the slalom of the 2009 Junior World Championships .

Since 2009 Tschongarow has also competed in the World Championships in the general class. His best World Cup result to date was 22nd in the Super Combined in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2011 . Tschongarow first took part in a World Cup race in November 2009. He has never qualified for the second round in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom and initially only achieved placements in the bottom field in downhill runs and (super) combinations, but won on January 22, 2012 with 15th place in the classic Hahnenkamm - Combination in Kitzbühel for the first time world cup points. Another point win followed on February 12, 2012 with place 24 in the super combination of Sochi ( Krasnaya Polyana ).
