Nikolaus Michalek

Nikolaus Michalek (born April 5, 1940 in Vienna ) is an Austrian notary and non-party politician .

Michalek received his doctorate in 1962 from the University of Vienna ( Dr. iur ). From 1976 to 1990 and from 2000 he worked as a public notary in Vienna. In 1989/90 he was President of the Austrian Chamber of Notaries .

From 1990 to 2000 Michalek was Austrian Minister of Justice .

He was president of the Austrian Lawyers' Association.
