The production vehicle presented on September 6, 2006 at the Paris Motor Show was launched on February 24, 2007 in Germany and is positioned between the Nissan Tiida and the Nissan X-Trail in the model range . The production model emerged from the study of the same name, which was presented in March 2004 at the Geneva Motor Show.

The car is the first production model to be designed in the Nissan Design Center Europe , which opened in London in 2003 . The final assembly of the Qashqai takes place in the British Nissan plant; the technology comes from the development center in Cranfield .

Equipment variants

The Nissan Qashqai is available in four versions: as a basic version in Visia equipment, in the medium Acenta version, in the upscale I-Way version and in the top version Tekna . As standard, all versions have air conditioning or automatic air conditioning , central locking with remote control, electric windows and a CD radio with Bluetooth hands-free system. The safety equipment includes six airbags , fog lights , ABS , ESP , HFC (hydraulic fading control / hydraulic compensation of the brake fading), EBD and CBC . Extras such as leather seats, 17-inch light-alloy wheels, xenon headlights, panoramic glass roof, CD changer or a navigation system with reversing camera or, from January 2012, with around-view monitor (AVM) are also available for a surcharge or in higher-quality versions.

The I-Way version has not been available since the beginning of 2013 ; it was replaced by the 360 trim level . With this slightly more expensive equipment variant, the previous I-Way package is supplemented by an upgraded interior with previous Tekna elements (including seats with partial leather covers, leather applications on the inside of the doors). In addition, metallic white is now available as a color option for the first time in the 360 version.

Qashqai + 2

In October 2008, sales of a Qashqai + 2 version, which has been extended by 21 cm to 453 cm, began . It has three rows of seats; the two seats in the third row can be lowered into the vehicle floor. The wheelbase grew by 13 centimeters; the Qashqai + 2 is four centimeters higher than the Qashqai.

Externally, the Qashqai + 2 can be recognized by the roof rails, larger third side windows, newly shaped doors and a modified roof line, as well as a new grille, a larger rear window and a modified bumper. In the interior, the second row of seats can be folded down in three parts and the backrests can be locked in nine different positions. The trunk volume with the sunk third row of seats is 500 liters and thus 90 more than the normal Qashqai.

The four engines and three equipment lines are taken from this. The extended version of the panoramic glass roof is also available.

technology

The SUV is available with multi-link independent suspension either with front (2WD) or all-wheel drive ( All-Mode 4x4 ), with a choice of four engines:

Engines and gears

Otto engines :

  • 1.6 l R4 with 1598 cm³ displacement and 84 kW (114 hp), 156 Nm torque at 4400 rpm; 02 / 2007-07 / 2010
  • 1.6 l R4 with 1598 cm³ displacement and 86 kW (117 hp), 158 Nm torque at 4000 rpm; 07/2010–11/2013

The 1.6-liter model has front-wheel drive and a five-speed manual transmission. The 2.0-liter engine is available with a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT-M6 automatic gearbox with either front or all-wheel drive. The fuel consumption was given as 6.7 to 8.4 l / 100 km and the CO 2 emissions with 159–199 g / km.

Diesel engines dCi ( Common Rail ):

  • 1.5 l R4 with 1461 cm³ displacement and 76 kW (103 PS), 240 Nm torque at 2000 rpm; 7/2008–7/2010
  • 1.5 l R4 with 1461 cm³ displacement and 78 kW (106 hp), 240 Nm torque at 2000 rpm; 2 / 2007–7 / 2010
  • 1.5 l R4 with 1461 cm³ displacement and 81 kW (110 PS), 240 Nm torque at 1750 rpm; 3 / 2010–11 / 2013

  • 2.0 l R4 with 1994 cm³ displacement and 110 kW (150 PS), 320 Nm torque at 2000 rpm; 2 / 2007–11 / 2013

The 1.5 dCi is available with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission. With the optional diesel particulate filter, the output drops to 76 kW. The larger diesel is available with all-wheel drive and optionally with an automatic or manual transmission and a standard particulate filter. The fuel consumption is 5.2–7.8 l / 100 km and the CO 2 emissions are 139–208 g / km.

Gearbox :

safety

With 36.8 out of 37 possible points, the Qashqai achieved the best result in occupant protection in over ten years of EuroNCAP crash test history. The pedestrian protection is rated two out of four stars.

In the summer of 2011, around 12,000 vehicles worldwide (construction period August 27, 2010 to February 18, 2011) were recalled due to brake problems.

Facelift

In spring 2010, the Qashqai and Qashqai + 2 models received a facelift. The look at the front and rear was adapted to the then current Nissan design line.

In November 2013, production was ended in line with the presentation of the second generation.

In January 2015, Venucia launched the T70, an SUV based on the first Qashqai generation, on the Chinese market.
