Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2002
The 35th Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2002 took place from January 20th to 27th, 2002 in Schonach, Baden-Württemberg in the Black Forest . After 1971 ( Nesselwang ), 1981 (also Schonach) and 1991 ( Reit im Winkl ), Germany was the organizer of this most important junior competition in Nordic skiing for the fourth time and Schonach itself for the second time.
The most successful nation of the competitions were the host Germans with three gold and one silver medals, ahead of Finland with three gold and two bronze medals and France with one gold and two silver medals.
Competition venues
The ski jumping competitions and the Nordic Combined jumping were held on the Langenwaldschanze . The cross-country skiing competitions of the specialists and the combiners took place on the trails in the area.
