Ole Johan Hegge (born September 3, 1898 in Bardu , † June 2, 1994 in Livingston County ) was a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Hegge, who started for the Bardu Skilag, made his first international appearance in 1924 at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival . There he finished second over 50 km. He repeated this placement over this distance in 1926 and 1928. He was also the Norwegian champion over 30 km in 1926 and 1928 . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1926 , he achieved tenth place over 30 km and fourth place over 50 km. When he first participated in the Olympics in St. Moritz in 1928 , he won the silver medal over 18 km. He also ran there in fifth place over 50 km. Four years later he was fourth over 50 km in his last international appearance at the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid .
