Oliver Hüsing (born February 17, 1993 in Bühren ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with 1. FC Heidenheim .

Career

The 1.93 m tall central defender began his career in his birthplace Bühren at the local BV, before moving to the youth department of SV Werder Bremen in 2004 . There he went through all youth teams until he made his professional debut in the 3rd division on April 21, 2012 (36th matchday), still active in the club's U19 team, in the 2-0 away defeat against VfR Aalen when he was on the grid and played through.

After good performance in the reserve team, the central defender signed a professional contract with SV Werder until June 2017 on April 1, 2014. He made his Bundesliga debut on December 17, 2014, the 16th matchday of the 2014/15 season , when he played in the away game at Borussia Mönchengladbach was substituted on. During the winter break, Hüsing moved to Hansa Rostock on loan in the third division until the end of the season . After 16 third division appearances and two goals, Hüsing played over the full distance as well as winning the state cup , Hüsing returned to Bremen for the 2015/16 season . There he played primarily for the 2nd team in the 3rd division. He only made a short six-minute stint against VfL Wolfsburg on matchday 30 in the Bundesliga this season.

For the 2016/17 season , Hüsing moved to Ferencváros Budapest and joined FC Hansa Rostock again a year later . In a combined vote on DFB.de and the 3rd league's Facebook channel, Hüsing was voted player on the 3rd matchday of the 2017/18 season. Hüsing became a top performer and regular player under Hansa coach Pavel Dotchev . In 37 of 38 league games he played for Rostock and scored four goals. He was also used in the DFB Cup against Bundesliga club Hertha BSC (0: 2) and at the end of the season he was the state cup winner in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In the final he prevailed with Hansa 2-1 against FC Mecklenburg Schwerin .

In the summer of 2019, the defender, who was the full-time captain in the 2018/19 season , left FC Hansa and switched to the second division club 1. FC Heidenheim . There Hüsing received a contract valid until June 2022.
