Ten archery competitions were held at the VII Summer Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 . It was the first Olympic tournament after a twelve-year hiatus, in 1912 archery was not Olympic and the 1916 games were canceled. However, the next Olympic archery tournament would not take place again until 50 years later, at the 1972 Games.
The field of participants was exclusively made up of men. Only three nations sent participants to the tournament, these were France (8 participants), the Netherlands (8 participants) and the host Belgium (14 participants).
