Otto Montag ( October 12, 1897 - December 23, 1973 ) was a German football player .

Montag initially belonged to the BFC Hertha 92 from 1914 to 1917 , later in the 1927/28 season - due to the merger with the Berlin sports club - Hertha BSC, which took place on August 7, 1923 . From 1917 to 1927 he first played for FC Norden-Nordwest, which later, in 1922, was renamed SV Norden-Nordwest . In the championships organized by the Association of Brandenburg Ball Game Clubs , he won the Berlin championship three times with BFC Hertha 92 and Hertha BSC, and the Berlin Cup once, as well as the Berlin Championship once and the Berlin Cup twice with FC and SV Norden-Nordwest. With SV Norden-Nordwest he was qualified as a participant in the final round of the German championship in the 1921/22 season and played the quarter and semi-finals against FC Viktoria Forst , where he made it into the with the 1-0 winning goal next round, and against 1. National team

Monday played four international matches for the senior national team , making his debut on June 3, 1923 in Basel in a 2-1 victory over the Swiss national team. This was followed by two test matches against the Swedish national team , which were lost on June 29, 1923 and June 21, 1925 in Stockholm with 1: 2 and 0: 1 respectively. His last appearance as a national player he had on June 26, 1925 in Helsinki in a 5-3 victory over the national team of Finland .
