The Płonia (German Plöne ) is a river in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It rises from the Jezioro Barlineckie (Berlinchener See) and flows through the Jezioro Płoń (Plönesee) and the Jezioro Miedwie (Madüsee) in a north-westerly direction . At Dąbie (old dam) the Plöne flows into the Jezioro Dabie (dam lake) after 74 kilometers .
The river was first mentioned in 1176. At the end of the 12th century, the monks of the Kolbatz monastery regulated the lower reaches of the Plone in order to make it navigable as far as Lake Damm and to gain new farmland. Around 1900 only a stretch of 1 kilometer at the mouth was navigable.
