Paavo Vierto (born August 29, 1915 in Lehtimäki , † December 9, 1941 in Ukraine ) was a Finnish ski jumper .

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1938 , he reached 19th place on the normal hill in jumping from the normal hill with jumps on 64 and 63.5 meters. In 1941 he became world champion in ski jumping at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo . The title has no official status as the results were canceled by the FIS in 1946 .

Vierto fought in the Finnish volunteer battalion of the Waffen SS during World War II . He fell in March 1941 when the Red Army attacked a 200-man Finnish military patrol in Ukraine .
