Pascal Zerressen (born November 22, 1992 in Tönisvorst ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Kölner Haien from the German Ice Hockey League since 2013 .

Career

The 1.96 meter tall defender Pascal Zerressen began his career as an ice hockey player in the junior department of the Krefeld EV in 2002 , for which he was initially active until 2006. The defender then worked for three years in the youth division of the Düsseldorfer EG , where he spent one season in the school league and two seasons in the German youth league. He also played in the 2008/09 season for the second team of the Düsseldorfer EG in the Regionalliga West, where he was also the youngest player of the DEG on the ice in the games of the promotion round to the Oberliga.

For the 2009/10 season Zerressen returned to Krefeld, where he played for the DNL team in the German Youth League. In the same season, Zerressen took part in the training of the professional team of the Krefeld Penguins before he signed his first professional contract with the Penguins until 2015. Zerressen also had a sponsorship license for the DNL team of the Krefeld EV in the German Junior League for the 2010/11 season.

The defender made his first appearances with the professional team of the Krefelder EV in August 2010 as part of the preparation for the season at the "Fans of the Cologne Haie Cup" in Cologne and at the Landesgartenschau Cup in Iserlohn. The player made his first professional appearance in a championship game on September 3, 2010 at the start of the championship of the German Ice Hockey League in the 2010/11 season in the game Straubing Tigers against Krefeld Pinguine (1: 2).

In the 2012/13 season Zerressen played from November for SC Riessersee in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey , with the Krefeld Penguins having the option of bringing Zerressen back at any time. For the 2013/14 season, Zerressen switched to the Cologne Sharks in the DEL . There he signed a 2-year contract until May 2015.

International

For Germany , Zerressen took part in the U18 Junior World Championship 2010 in Poland in April 2010 , where he won the gold medal and thus his team was promoted to the top division (A group). Zerressen achieved the same in December 2011 with the U20 national team at the World Cup. Zerressen played a total of 41 international matches for the German U16, U17 and U18, U19 and U20 national team.

In spring 2017 he received his first appointment to the senior national team.
