Paul Maue (born January 4, 1932 in Schopp ) is a former German cyclist .

Athletic career

In 1951 and 1952 Paul Maue won one stage of the Tour of Austria . Also in 1952 he started at the Olympic Games in Helsinki . In the individual road race he was 48th, in the team road race he was fifth with the German team ( Edi Ziegler and Oscar Zeissner ).

In 1954 Maue became German champion in the amateur road race , and in 1955 he won the Berlin stage trip . He was a professional from 1956 to 1957 and won the Fichtel & Sachs GP .

Familiar

Maue's son Michael was also a cyclist and competed in the 1984 Olympic Games .
