Paul Schönewald

Paul Schönewald (born November 8, 1958 in Dormagen , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German art collector and art dealer for contemporary art .

Life

As the youngest of five children of a farmer and innkeeper , Schönewald grew up in his parents' inn . His father died when Schönewald was only 14 years old. He began to ride as a child, but at the same time was introduced to the arts and the art trade by a frequent guest art dealer.

After his high school Schönewald belonged in the years 1978/1979 the jumpers - squad at the Bundeswehr Sports School in Warendorf on. He then studied business administration at the University of Düsseldorf from 1980 to 1985 . After graduation, he opened together with his fellow students Rainer Beuse until today his partner, a poster - Gallery .
