Paula Riskko (born June 4, 1960 in Ylihärmä ) is a Finnish politician of the conservative National Assembly Party and President of the Finnish Parliament from February 2018 to April 2019 . Previously, she was Minister of Health and Social Affairs in the Katainen Cabinet, Transport and Administration Minister in the Stubb Cabinet and Interior Minister in the Sipilä Cabinet .

In 1997 Risko received her PhD in Natural Sciences (Healthcare) from the University of Tampere . Her dissertation was entitled The current and future quality standards in kindergarten . Riskoko received an honorary doctorate from the University of Vaasa . She is also Vice Rector of Seinäjoki University, but is currently on leave for her political work. In the parliamentary elections , Riskko received 9266 votes.

Risksko donated to numerous health care organizations such as non-governmental organizations dealing with autism and Asperger's syndrome , the Finnish Cancer Society, Diabetes Association, Finland MS Association, Arthritis Foundation and for example Alfred Korde Finland and UNIFEM organization.

Riskoko has been married to Heikki Tapani Riskko since 2000. In 2006 they adopted their daughter Aino Taika Huanzhen from China .
