Peter Van Gaasbeck

Peter Van Gaasbeck (born September 27, 1754 in Ulster County , New York Province, † 1797 in Kingston , New York ) was an American politician . Between 1793 and 1795 he represented the state of New York in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Peter Van Gaasbeck grew up during the British colonial era and attended grammar schools in Ulster County. He gained great reputations in County and New York over the years. Van Gaasbeck did business in Kingston. During the Revolutionary War , he served in the Ulster County Militia , where he was first captain and later major .
