Presinge is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland . The parish includes the hamlets of Cara and La Louvière .

Presinge belonged to Savoy from the end of the 14th century until 1792, with an interruption during the Reformation from 1536 to 1567 when it belonged to Bern. From 1792 to 1816 Presinge and puplings belonged to France. Between 1816 and 1856 Presinge and Puplinge formed a single community.

The place was mentioned around 1012 as Persenio and around 1180 as Prinsingium .
