Roman Catholic Church in Brunei

The Roman Catholic Church in Brunei is a missionary congregation that arose over the last few decades and is organized in the Apostolic Vicariate of Brunei .

Detached from the Diocese of Miri ( Malaysia ) on November 21, 1997 and raised to an independent Apostolic Prefecture , it already extended in 2002 with 3 parishes and 21,000 believers, over 5,800 km² and covers the entire country.

With 4.7% of the population, the form Catholic there is a minority that of 3 Diözesan- and a Chaplain seelsorgerisch been accompanied. In 2002 there were also 2 nuns in the prefecture .
