Loeb and Ogier took turns in the overall leadership. Jari-Matti Latvala got closer and closer to the Citroën duo and at the end of the day was 2.6 seconds behind leader Loeb in third place.

3rd day (Saturday, July 30th)

In the special stages 12 to 16 Loeb was able to pull out a small lead. In SS 17, Ogier fell behind Latvala due to a puncture. Petter Solberg was in fourth place for a long time, in the final sprint Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) caught up with him and pushed the privateer to fifth place.
