Matovič government

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Slovak Matovič government under Prime Minister Igor Matovič was formed after the 2020 National Council elections as the successor to the government of Peter Pellegrini ( Smer ). It consists of four bourgeois- conservative , right-wing populist and liberal parties: OĽaNO , Sme Rodina - Boris Kollár , Sloboda a Solidarita and Za ľudí . The inauguration by President Zuzana Čaputová took place on March 21, 2020.

When the government took office, Foreign Minister Ivan Korčok (SaS) could not be sworn in because he was ambassador to the USA when the corona crisis broke out and had to be quarantined after his return. He was therefore temporarily represented by Richard Sulík .
