Trier region

The Trier region is one of the five planning regions in Rhineland-Palatinate . In terms of its limits, it corresponds to the former administrative district of Trier with the districts of Bernkastel-Wittlich , Bitburg-Prüm , Trier-Saarburg and Vulkaneifel , as well as the independent city of Trier . The planning region has a population of 529,519 and an area of 4,924 km² (as of 2018). The administrative headquarters are in Koblenz at the Structure and Approval Directorate North , the office in Trier. Günther Schartz is the chairman of the planning association .
Since September 27, 2011 the Trier region has been a recognized 100ee region for renewable energies , as 100% of the electricity is produced from renewable energies.
The term Trier region is also used by various non-governmental institutions (IHK, Verkehrsverbund Region Trier , Medien) for precisely this area.
The Trier region industrial park is located northeast of Trier between Föhren and Hetzerath .
The area of the Trier region waste management association is congruent with the Trier region.
The website of the year 2002 in the Trier region was the database of cultural assets in the Trier region .
