Religious historical experiments and preparatory work

Religious history experiments and preparatory work ( RGVV ) is the title of a scientific book series on the religious history of antiquity.

It was founded in 1902 by the philology professors Albrecht Dieterich and Richard Wünsch from Giessen and was published by Alfred Töpelmann in quick succession until 1939 . From 1969 it was resumed under the direction of Carsten Colpe in the Walter de Gruyter publishing house and continued by Fritz Graf , Hans G. Kippenberg and Lawrence E. Sullivan . The current editors are Jörg Rüpke ( University of Erfurt ) and Christoph Uehlinger ( University of Zurich ).
