Reutigen is a municipality in the Thun administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .
In addition to the resident community, there is also a civic community and an evangelical-reformed church community under the same name .

Reutigen is located on the Kander in the Bernese Oberland . In the municipal area of uniting Feusibach and Fluhbach to Glütschbach . The neighboring communities starting from the north in a clockwise direction are Höfen , Zwieselberg , Spiez , Wimmis , Erlenbach im Simmental and Niederstocken .

history
The first documented mention of Reutigen dates back to 1300 as Rötingen . When the administrative districts were introduced in the canton of Bern, Reutigen, which previously belonged to the Niedersimmental district , moved to the Thun administrative district .
