Richard Tecker

Richard Tecker (born May 5, 1732 in Vienna ; † November 13, 1798 ) was a Roman Catholic theologian and director of the Graz University Library .

Richard Tecker entered the Benedictine order at the age of 17 . In 1762 he received his doctorate in theology. In 1765 he became a professor of dogmatics at the University of Graz . From 1775 to 1783, after Josef Bardarini, he was the second permanent director of the Graz University Library after the university was nationalized. Tecker later taught at the Collegium Germanicum in Rome . His successor in Graz was Franz de Paula Tomicich .
