Rolf Andiel

Rolf Andiel (born April 2, 1927 in Plauen ; † 1992 ibid) was a German painter , graphic artist and draftsman .

Life

Rolf Andiel completed an apprenticeship as a designer . From 1942 to 1944 he studied at the Art and Technical School for the Textile Industry in Plauen . From 1944 to 1948 the military service followed with subsequent imprisonment. From 1950 to 1953 he worked as a poster painter. Andiel then studied from 1953 to 1958 at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts with Erich Fraaß and Rudolf Bergander . After completing his studies, he worked as a freelance graphic designer in Plauen. Since 1960 he had a work contract with the VEB Plamag and the management of circles of artistic folk creation. Andiel was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR .
