Romy Logsch (born February 5, 1982 in Riesa ) is a former German bobsledder and athlete .

Career

Before Logsch switched to the bobsleigh in 2007, she was a discus thrower . In the 2007 season she became the new regular pusher for bobsleigh pilot Sandra Kiriasis and ousted the previous pushers Anja Schneiderheinze and Berit Wiacker . Originally Logsch was only supposed to replace the injured tailor's nose, but the tests went so well that Logsch permanently switched to the team of the world-class pilot Kiriasis. In the first joint race, the team won the World Cup and the European Championship taking place in Cortina d'Ampezzo . In qualifying for the World Championships in St. Moritz , she was able to prevail over her competitors for the position of pushing. At the world championships, the Kiriasis / Logsch team was able to achieve the world championship title in an outstanding manner.

In the 2008/09 season Logsch switched to Cathleen Martini as a pusher , whose pusher Janine Tischer switched to Sandra Kiriasis in return.

In 2010 Logsch and Martini, who made a mistake in the fourth round of the Olympic two-man bobsleigh competition in Vancouver, had an accident in which the two-man bobsleigh fell and Logsch was thrown out of the bobsleigh and slipped down the bobsleigh track, which meant that the fourth-placed man had all the chances of a medal Teams wiped out. At the 2011 Bobsleigh World Championship at Königssee she won the world title with her pilot Martini. In September 2012 she ended her sporting career.
