Ronald Adam (born April 27, 1958 ) is a former German soccer player who was active in the GDR . For Hansa Rostock he played in the upper league , the highest soccer class of the GDR soccer association .

Adam joined FC Hansa Rostock from Motor Stralsund in 1973 at the age of 15 . In 1975 he completed three international matches with the GDR junior national team. For the 1976/77 season he was included in the squad of the junior league team of FC Hansa. There he played nine games as a defender in the first half of the season. The 1.86 m tall Adam made his debut in the first team on November 20, 1976 in the round of 16 for the GDR Cup at Vorwärts Dessau (2-1 victory). His first game in the GDR league was the encounter on December 18, 1976 Stahl Riesa - Hansa Rostock (1: 4 defeat), in which he also scored his first league goal. By the end of the 1976/77 season, Adam was used in a total of eleven league games. This season ended for Hansa with relegation from the league, so that Adam had to play in the second division for a year . Adam was involved in ten missions in the immediate resurgence. 1978/79 he was called up in only two league games, followed by another relegation again a year in the second-rate GDR league , in which Adam played only four games. He had his best year in the 1980/81 season, when Hansa played in the league again. Adam benefited from the failure of defensive player Uwe Bloch and came to 17 league appearances. In the following two seasons he was only a substitute with six and five missions. After 41 Oberliga and 14 GDR league games as well as four cup games, Adam ended his career at FC Hansa Rostock at the end of the 1982/83 season at the age of 25.

He then played for the GDR league club BSG Schiffahrt / Hafen Rostock , in 1985 during his army service with the Vorwärts Strausberg army sports club and in 1986 with the BSG KKW Greifswald again in the GDR league. Here, however, he only came to two point games. He finally ended his career as an active soccer player at BSG Warnowwerft Warnemünde or at their successor club SV Warnemünde .

During his time as a football player, Adam had earned a physical education teacher diploma. With this qualification, Adam later worked in the junior division of SV Warnemünde and also worked as a football district trainer. In June 2006 he returned to his former club on the initiative of the then FC Hansa managing director Helmut Hergesell , where he took over the management of ticket sales.
