Rudolf Pannier (born August 31, 1821 in Zerbst ; † December 12, 1897 in Berlin ) was a lawyer and member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

Life

Pannier studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and became active in the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg in 1841 . He was a district judge and court director in Oranienburg . After that he was first district court director and then president of the district court II Berlin and was committed to the establishment of a district court in Rixdorf .

From 1861 to 1866 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency Nieder- and Oberbarnim. Here he initially belonged to the von Vincke faction and from 1863 to the Left Centrum faction. He was also a co-founder of the National Liberal Party and in 1867 a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Potsdam  5 ( Oberbarnim ).

In Rixdorf, Pannierstrasse was named after him in 1894.
