Sabrina Viguier (born January 4, 1981 in Rodez ) is a former French soccer player who has also worked as a trainer since then.

Club career

Viguier began her career at the age of six with the US Laissac-Bertholène club . In 1995 she moved to FCF Lioujas-La Loubière , before joining the Toulouse OAC in 1999, which became part of Toulouse FC in 2001/02 . With the two women from Toulouse, the defender won the French championship in 2000, 2001 and 2002 and the cup in 2002 . From 2006 to 2010 she played for HSC Montpellier and was able to win the cup there again in 2007 and 2009. From 2010 to March 2014 she played for Olympique Lyon , with whom she became French champion and champion of the Champions League in 2011 ; In 2012 she was again in the victorious Champions League final eleven , also won her fifth championship and fourth national cup title in France.
From April to the end of 2014 Sabrina Viguier wore the Kopparbergs / Göteborg FC dress . From January 2015 she played again in France's highest women's league, where she joined AS Saint-Étienne . In 2016 she ended her career at this level.

In the national team

On November 18, 2000 Viguier made his debut in a game against Greece in the French national team . She took part in the European Championships in 2001, 2005 and 2009 and in the World Championships in 2003 (three missions). She scored one goal in a total of 92 international matches (as of July 31, 2012). She was also in the French squad for the 2011 World Cup in Germany , was considered in two matches there and finished fourth with the Bleues. She was part of the French Olympic squad in 2012 , but only played one game at this tournament. After that, national coach Bruno Bini and his successor Philippe Bergeroo did not appoint them.

Coaching activities

After acquiring her trainer license, Sabrina Viguier initially worked as an assistant trainer for the first division club AF Rodez in her hometown from 2017 . There she was then promoted to boss. The contract was valid for the 2018/19 season and was not extended after Rodez's relegation. To this end, she took up the position of responsible coordinator of all girls' national teams at the Fédération Française de Football at the end of August 2019 .
