Sarah Kate Silverman (born December 1, 1970 in Bedford , New Hampshire ) is an American comedian , actress and writer . Her work often focuses on taboos and prejudices. She is the daughter of Jewish immigrants Donald and Beth Ann Silverman and sister of Susan Silverman-Abramowitz (rabbi and author of the book Jewish Family & Life: Traditions, Holidays, and Values ​​for Today's Parents and Children ), Laura Silverman (also an actress) and Jody Speyer (screenwriter).
