The Landgericht suspension railway station is one of three stations (the other two are Völklinger Strasse and Werther Bridge ) that have been rebuilt true to the original in Art Nouveau style. Like all Barmer stations (with the exception of Werther Brücke and Alter Markt), it represented the counterpart to the Elberfeld standard suspension railway station without a gable roof and only with a roof over the platforms. Since the renovation of the Wupperfeld, Adlerbrücke and Loher Brücke stations, it has been the last remaining representative of this type alongside Völklinger Strasse. The renovation began in October 2010 and continued until June 2011 (reopening on June 20, 2011).
