SEMAR

The Secretaría de Marina (SEMAR) is the political "Secretariat of the Navy " in Mexico . As a government secretariat, it is comparable to a ministry of a state government and can therefore be described as the Mexican naval ministry , which is responsible for the Mexican navy, Armada de México . For general defense policy of the country that's Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) responsible.

SEMAR is divided mainly into the sub-secretariat of the Navy ( Subsecretaría ) and the highest naval command of the state ( Oficialía Mayor de Marina ). The naval forces report directly to the Ministry.
