Sigrun Arenz (born May 3, 1978 in Nuremberg ) is a German writer.

Life

Sigrun Arenz attended the humanistic Heinrich-Schliemann-Gymnasium in Fürth and studied German, theology and English at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen and at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Since her student days she has worked as a freelancer for various daily newspapers. As an author, she has mainly published short stories and detective novels since 2004. She is the sister of the writer Ewald Arenz and the actor Helwig Arenz . In addition to her work as a freelance writer, she also taught German, English and Protestant religious studies at the Adam-Kraft-Gymnasium in Schwabach from 2004–2013 and then returned to her former school in Fürth as a high school teacher . Most of her books are published in hardcover by ars vivendi and as paperback by Goldmann .
