Soumana Sacko

Soumana Sacko (* 1949 Mali ) was Prime Minister of Mali from April 9, 1991 to June 9, 1992 during the first transitional presidency of Amadou Toumani Touré .

Other offices

Sako also held other offices inside and outside the government of Mali. In 1987 he was Minister of Finance and Trade for a short time. Outside of government, Sako served as a senior economist with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and as Executive Secretary of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).

In the 2013 presidential elections in Mali , he was a candidate for the National Convention for Africa Solidarity and was one of the favorites. However, he could only assert himself in 13th place.
