action

The stray dog Laika was the first living creature to be sent into space - and thus to certain death. Legend has it that she returned to earth as a ghost and has roamed the streets of Moscow ever since . Following Laika's footsteps and filmed from the perspective of the dogs, Space Dogs accompanies the adventures of their descendants: two street dogs in today's Moscow. Their story is about intimate following, relentless brutality and finally about their view of us humans. Interwoven with previously unpublished film material from the era of Soviet space travel , a magical tale is formed about the Moscow street dogs - from ascent into space to life on the ground.
