Stefan Pfrengle

Stefan Pfrengle (born June 24, 1963 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , Rhineland-Palatinate ) is a former German figure skater .

Life

Stefan Pfrengle did not come to figure skating until he was ten years old. He was a pair runner and initially started with Susanne Becher . His second ice skating partner was Kerstin Kiminus . With her he became the first German champion in pair skating in 1986. Later he ran together with Anuschka Gläser , who was recruited to Mannheim by the Baden-Württemberg regional trainer and 10-time Polish pair skating champion Peter Sczypa. He formed the pair of glasses / Pfrengle and brought them to the title win of the German pair skating championship in 1989 and 1990 . During these years they celebrated their greatest international successes with 9th place at the World Championships in Paris and 5th place at the European Championships in Saint Petersburg. Stefan Pfrengle started for the Mannheim ERC and was trained by Günter Zöller at the end of his career .

He studied medicine, is a resident orthopedist and team doctor for the German Ice Skating Union

Stefan Pfrengle is married to Claudia Leistner . Their daughter Julia Pfrengle (* 1995) is also an active figure skater at the Mannheim ERC (German junior champion 2007 and 2008; German junior champion 2009). Son Yannik (* 2000) is interested in football.
