Stephanie Japp
Stephanie Japp (born May 23, 1972 in Zurich ) is a German- Swiss actress (with a double pass).
Life
The daughter of a German father and a Swiss mother spent the first years of her life in Zurich. She completed her studies at the University of Music and Theater in Bern, Switzerland, where she studied acting as well as singing. In 1995 she became a member of the ensemble at Theater Dortmund , where she won the Dortmund Theater Prize in 1998 for best young actress.
Since 2000 she has been working for television and cinema in Germany and Switzerland and has participated in over 60 productions. Stephanie Japp was in the series Der Kriminalist alongside Christian Berkel and Frank Giering , in Grounding - The Last Days of Swissair , Mein Name ist Eugen and the movie Hirngespinster alongside Tobias Moretti and Jonas Nay. in the crime scene, the Taunus thriller, the Black Forest clinic, dream ship, behind bars, white and blue winter stories, Soko Cologne, Soko Wismar, in Nils Holgerson's wonderful journey, and many others.
In 2008 she won the Prix SWISSPERFORM as best leading actress for Jimmie , alongside Joel Basman , and in 2016 the Prize of the German Academy for Television DafF for her role as Rieke Dreher in the television film Das Programm (directed by Till Endemann ), with Nina Kunzendorf and Benjamin Sadler .
In 2018 she was awarded the prize for the best female leading role in Switzerland for her role as Carolin Pfister in the film "private banking".
Stephanie Japp lives in Germany and has two children.
